Wind tunnel testing of telecommunication lattice towers equipped with ancillaries

Lattice towers are used in several fields such as radio and television broadcasting, wireless communication or mobile networking. These lightweight structures which to support specific equipment certain heights for examples antennas needed signal transmission. The purpose of this paper is investigate the influence ancillary elements on aerodynamic coefficients telecommunication lattice towers. To aim, three wind tunnel tests have been conducted sectional model a real tower located Romania. leg members circular cross-sections whereas diagonal horizontal angle cross-sections. In order effect cross-section coefficients, an additional having was considered. first test bare models, second models were equipped with ladder feeder cables third both well installed models. All performed smooth flow turbulent flow.
